Dancing in community brings me immense pleasure, and has been a cornerstone of wellness in my life. As a child I learned tap, ballet, jazz and highland dancing, and I’ve always had a blast on the dance floor with friends. Beginning in 2011, I taught twice-weekly Nia classes for 13 years to share the joy with others. I’m now offering a home-grown class, designed to enhance somatic awareness and increase vitality.
Be Moved is a mindful movement class. Explore your unique range of movement with both patterned steps and playful personal expression. Building safe movement practice with layers and options, we will stimulate brain/body connections with interesting moves. Be Moved is a gentle, playful class to help you reconnect with yourself and others as we share the dance floor in rhythmic exploration. You’ll be challenged, you’ll find flow, and you’ll leave feeling energized and connected. Adaptable for all levels of fitness. Every Body is welcome on my dance floor. Let yourself Be Moved!

Be Moved in Mahone Bay
- Mondays 5:00 – 6:00 pm at the Mahone Bay Centre
- This class goes year round, and you can join us anytime.
- Class passes are 5 classes for $60, 10 classes for $110. Drop in is $15. Passes expire six months from date of purchase.
- It’s always free to try your first class and see if it’s a good fit. Sliding scale is available … I want you moving with us!
Customized Programs
Restore Rhythm and Flow
I always enjoy contributing to special events such as retreats and staff professional development days. I bring several decades of experience in program design and group facilitation, and I love to create ways that participants can learn, reflect, connect and express. This might include education about stress management, nervous system regulation, healthy boundaries, self-care, and other wellness topics. I draw on my skill as a movement educator to incorporate safe, playful and adaptable somatic movement and music to support this learning.
